Bloom Communications
The Bloom Communications network includes top-notch website developers, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, printers and mail houses, and more, enabling us to meet all of our clients’ communications needs.
I am passionate about making the world better, and I believe in the power of words — backed by actions — to make change.
During my twenty years in nonprofit communications, I have worked in affordable housing for communities of color and older adults, supported public health campaigns around substance abuse and reproductive health, and helped raise millions of dollars to combat homelessness and protect immigrant rights.
My advocacy work extends into the political realm as well. In addition to volunteering for local and national campaigns, I was a Deputy Field Organizer for the Obama campaign in 2008 and served as Communications Director on Massachusetts State Senator Becca Rausch’s historic 2018 campaign.
I have a B.A. from Brown University, and an M.F.A. in writing from Emerson College. Though I’ve been published under my own byline, most of my writing is for clients, who range from nonprofits focusing on public health and affordable housing, to community groups fighting for racial justice and equal pay, to progressive candidates for local and state office.
I am a graduate of Emerge Massachusetts, the flagship training program for women interested in running for political office, and I am completely addicted to helping progressive candidates — especially women and people of color — get elected.
In my free time, I enjoy volunteering for my kiddo’s school, knocking doors for local candidates for election, and organizing community events from block parties to hundred- and even thousand-person rallies for causes like education and immigration reform. I’m obsessed with baking sourdough, my kittens, and the Oxford comma.
